Versace - Fall 2008 Mens
Versace drew inspiration from the works of cult Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempicka and thus created a line filled with dark & dramatic pieces. Pasty male models raced the ramp in spectacularly, elongated coats, sharp suits, and decadent little add-ons. The clothes showcased dramatic, yet sleek proportions and a color palette of deep blues, faded plums and somber purples were glamorized with the tiniest bit of midnight shimmer. A monk's habit collided with a duffel coat produced one of fall 2008's must-haves. Another trend observed had to be the monochromatic evening look (black tux, black shirt, black bow tie) spectacularly drowned under a huge black officer's coat.
