Salvatore Ferragamo – spring 2008
Designer Massimiliano Giornetti showcased his men’s line In a monochrome palette but in doing so Giornetti by no means produced a collection that was stale, instead each piece was renewed with a touch of metallic modernism. The clothes screamed refinement and the Ferragamo label once again managed to present clothes that aptly suited the more formal occasions. Although formal the clothes had a sense of sensuality, brought about in a subtle way; most of them creating a paradoxical statement of innocent/experienced. The sharp tailoring and crisp fabrics also added to the sophisticated sexuality. Humor was thrown in to the otherwise strict collection in the form of the some what, out of place jersey shorts and the big neck bows.
