Betty made LiLo smile!

Lindsay Lohan (in Alexander Wang) at the Ugly Betty premiere party at New York City’s Highbar on Monday.

The 22-year-old actress just blogged earlier this morning about her experience shooting the TV show: “2 days left of my shoot on Ugly Betty-I am quite sad to have to leave the wonderful cast and crew behind. It’s always sad to leave people that you get close to… It’s been such a delight to be a part of this show!!-My sister, Aliana, is visiting me on set today and I loooove having her around… she makes me smile, just like another certain someone love you baby xoxo”. (That was a subtle reference to DJ gal pal Samantha Ronson.)

LiLo has been good?! Well after all Britney and Paris are gradually cleaning up their acts I guess the kookey girls have realized that fame through infamy got old quite fast … What am I saying! – Girls … purge, drink, take Katy Perry’s advice and kiss those girls and remember to hand those sex videos over to untrustworthy staff members and ex-BFs! – just kidding … we are really glad that the girls are working out their issues … we sincerely wish that LiLo works things out with her dad (if she wants to, that is) and we are sincerely rooting for Britney, oh and Paris … well … keep doing what you do, you’re HOT!

Ugly Betty Rundown: Episode 15, "Burning Questions"

Last week they laid the groundwork to facilitate a psychotic meltdown for Renee on Ugly Betty, and this week the show really delivered. But by the end, I just felt sorry for the poor girl (and thought she looked really smoking hot in her lavender dress). Meanwhile, the Henry-Betty-Gio triangle came to a bit of a head via a physical confrontation with the boys and a near-death experience for Betty — but ugh, I think she's leaning toward Henry again. He's so weak-kneed about this whole pregnancy thing and he's leaving, so I'm at a total loss as to why we should want to see him and Betty together.

Blondies at the Ball

Some hot young blondes came out in NYC last night for the Guggenheim Young Collectors Council Artist's Ball hosted by Chloe. Blake Lively looked great, as usual, helping Chace fill our Gossip Girl fix for this rerun week. One half of your favorite platonic TV duo of the year, Becki Newton looked hot other than those boots. Meanwhile, not Piper Perabo's best look at all. I'm sure a few fashion mishaps didn't get in the way of any sort of good time had by all the lovely ladies.

gilmore meets betty for some gossip!

The cast of 2005’s The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reprise their roles in the Alcon Entertainment sequel, out Aug. 8, 2008.
Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) as Lena, America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) as Carmen, Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) as Tibby and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) as Bridget all return for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
This is the film America had second thoughts about starring in but the film’s producers exercised their sequel option, so she wound up joining the project anyway.

Ugly Betty Rundown: Episode 10, "Bananas for Betty"

While I could spend more than a minute on how annoying it was that last night's episode of Ugly Betty was basically just an ad for 27 Dresses, I will restrain myself and focus on the story. There were three big plots in last night's episode and thankfully they were all pretty fun. Even (begrudgingly) Betty and Henry. Here are my thoughts:
Ah, of course Bradford Meade left a video saying which child he wanted to leave Meade publications to! I mean, it only makes sense considering he was about to get married and all. Uh, just go with it. But was he about to say "my daughter" or "my Daniel"? Apparently, there's only one way to answer that . . . paint ball.
Stop me if I'm wrong, but didn't Betty and Henry used to be all about the quirky outings? Museum of Transportation! And now they're homebodies with themed ice cream/movie nights? Though, for all you Henry swooners out there, how much were you loving all the topless action?
To read the rest of my thoughts just
So the plot thickens with Betty/Henry/Hilda/Gio. I guess I should have seen it coming that Gio was secretly still in love with Betty, but I was excited to see him with Hilda as well. Though, no one will ever be Santos. And by that, I mean as hot as Santos. Swoon.
So, is Gio going to be waiting on the sidelines for Henry to run off and be a father and then swoop in to win Betty's heart? Hmmmm.
The Mode office paintball war was incredible, I loved every second of it. Also, pretty much everything Amanda does is gold. Poor Daniel, he should have been able to see it coming that Alexis would stab him in the back. He's always been a bit too trusting, a bit too naive.
Wilhelmina trying to turn around her image was pretty classic, until she had to go and slam a Golden Girl's finger in the taxi door while stealing her cab. Betty White was hilarious on the show, awesome cameo, and so, so true of celebrities to draw out feuds for publicity's sake. So is that the end of Slater? Yup, but not the end of Willie. Well, not if Bradford's sperm has anything to do with it. Ew, eeewwww.
So I was all wrong about what she was doing in the morgue, but that's partially because my mind would never go there. Wilhelmina is going to knock herself up with Bradford's baby and give birth to a Meade Publications heir. Methinks that Marc will have to be more intimately involved with that process than he would ever want.
Awesome quote No. 1: "Why are you so strong? did they give you super strength when they installed your vagina?"
Awesome quote No. 2, on the paper clip dog shirt: "What? Metallics are back in this year."
Awesome quote No. 3: "It was an Anna Sui. I know I should feel something, but I feel nothing. War has changed me."
Awesome quote No. 4: "Slater is dead, Marc." "Dead?! No, it's all I've got, except for good hair and good clothes . . . and actually you know I'm doing okay. But you, how could you be so calm? You've got nothing."
Awesome quote No. 5: "I could run a magazine better than Martin Luther King, Jr. Jesus? Not so much."
So what did you think about last night's episode? Hungry for ice cream? Henry or Gio? Gio or Henry? Are you surprised by Alexis? What about Willie — is this too low, even for her?

"sugar stick" gets sticky

scream, you scream, we all scream for Christopher Gorham!
Betty (America Ferrera) gets the delicious task of eating ice cream off of a shirtless boyfriend Henry (Christopher Gorham) in the next episode of Ugly Betty. She gets the pleasure of scooping ice cream onto Henry’s washboard abs and topping it off with whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Betty even gets to pour the hot chocolate sauce on! Who’s jealous??

Dane and Ortiz didn't even have to set their TiVos to watch themselves on Grey's and Ugly Betty since it was a rerun night. Booooo. That doesn't mean there wasn't fun TV this week (yay).

Ugly Betty Rundown: Episode 7, "Nice Day for a Posh Wedding"

Last night's Ugly Betty was a bit frustrating for me. I spent most of the episode literally yelling at Betty through my TV (I swear, she totally heard me), but it also had huge awww moments...and the funniest 20 seconds I've seen on TV in a while. The clip of that is after the jump (hint: it involved milkshakes). So Betty herself continues to bug me, but everyone else is great! Here are my thoughts:

There was so not enough Victoria Beckham considering how much she was hyped. That being said, why don't the Beckhams have an energy drink — it seems too fitting. "Beckhammmmm." Also, Posh would so actually wear her maid of honor dress out the night before the wedding if it was chic enough. Ha.
The Christina and her husband plot was sweet, and I'm glad we finally got to meet him. It was pretty heartbreaking, too. He's good Stuart, after all.
Okay, now it's time for spoilers. To read the rest of my thoughts (and my take on the shocking cliffhanger that was totally given away in the previews) just
Um, I'm sure I don't even need to ask if everyone else agrees, but Marc and Cliff are the best part of the show, right? Love them. Love the suit, loved the "break-up," loved the getting back together. "Beauty is pain, Cliff, and you are hurting me bad." So, did I mention that I really like them together? I hope Cliff is on the show forever.
Oh, Betty. Call me heartless, but I just can't get behind her this season. No matter what her dad did or said, there is no way that season one Betty would ever even consider not going to his nationalization ceremony. Thankfully (and I never thought I would say this) Henry was there to force her into it. I did get a little choked up when they made up. And Justin is hilarious.
So UB kinda glossed over the whole world finding out and barely caring that Amanda is Fey Sommers' daughter, right? Did I miss any drama about that? Or people even batting an eyelash? That confused me a little.
Anyone else still find it a little surreal seeing Vanessa Williams and Rick Fox together on screen? They're still broken up, right?
So, Daniel 100% has the right to be mad at and immediately fire Betty, but she so should have given him the full reason for lying. Methinks they'll make up next episode.
Was I the only one who saw Bradford Meade having a heart attack and thought, "Wow, Caleb Nicol cannot catch a break in the heart department?"
And last but certainly not least, the best thing ever. Amanda taking ahold of her moment to shine and serenading the crowd with Kelis' anthem "Milkshake," complete with organ music. Describing it does not do the magnificence justice.

So, what did you think? Am I too hard on Betty? Do you think she immediately turned around and ran back to the church? Will Wilhelmina and Bradford ever get married? And are you enjoying Marc/Amanda/Cliff as much as I am? Amanda's milkshake is so better than mine.

Ugly Strike!

America Ferrera, Becki Newton, and Rebecca Romijn were just a few of the Ugly Betty cast members who grabbed signs and rallied around their writers on the picket lines yesterday. The strike can't be easy on any of the parties involved, but we bet the writers were happy to get lots of support. As for the show, we were loving Posh's super short guest spot last night. Hopefully, the writers and producers will get this whole thing settled soon because we don't know how we'll deal with no next episode if it ends with a cliffhanger like last night.

Ugly Betty Rundown: Episode 6, "Something Wicked This Way Comes"

If you even channel surfed through ABC this week, you were made aware that Ugly Betty was going to Broadway. Instead of just doing a musical episode, as Buzz pointed out they should totally get it over with and do, the show centered around Betty and Henry trying to go on a date to see Wicked, intertwining songs from the actual Broadway show into the episode.
It succeeded in making me want to go see Wicked, but unfortunately it didn't change my mind about Betty's plot being my least favorite part of this season. I'm not totally heartless — the end was touching and sweet, but I was sad some of the other stories were sidelined.

What is up with Christina never having any scenes? Are we ever going to learn about her secret husband? This was one of the best parts of the episode: "Oh my god, he's your doughnut." "Yes, he's delicious and I can't tell anyone." I want more Christina.
I know, I know, I'm not supposed to get annoyed with Betty, but come on now, she and Henry were being totally rude during Wicked. Having their phones on vibrate and intentionally coughing/sneezing? Ha, I'm so crotchety.
The whole Willi having to gain weight thing for her wedding was hilarious. Also, Bradford "wants something called a Shania Twain performing at the reception."
Ugh, love Marc and Cliff! I must admit that I looked Cliff up on IMDB to see how many episodes of the show he is on to make sure he hasn't been written off for good. Had to awwww at Marc talking about his belly face.

I almost literally cheered when Justin was back to his old self! "LIAR, Madonna is recording in London until the end of the month!" And definitely clapped when he and Ignacio bought Hilda the hair dryer. The Sweet Hair After.
Freddy Rodriguez is kind of awesome at playing the jerk.
"What am I supposed to do, dump him because he doesn't use product?"
Vanessa Williams plays pretending to be completely heartless so perfectly. She is so good at putting up that icy exterior, even when her daughter bails on her wedding with the lie that she got bitten by her pet monkey and had to be quarantined.
Okay, so the end of this episode was a little more intense and touching than last week, but how many in a row can they do where the closing scene is Betty and Henry deciding to take a chance on each other? Sorry, sorry, I'm so cynical about those two. To be fair though, Henry did look good this episode.
This week was fine, but next week — Posh! Plus, there is sure to be all sorts of wedding day drama for Bradford and Willi. And an ambulance? Will Bradford Meade have a heart attack or something? Is Alan Dale destined to die that way on every TV show he stars in? What did you think of this week? Wicked in a good way or a bad way?

Ugly Betty Rundown: Episode 5, "A League of Their Own"

How much did I love this week's episode of Ugly Betty? So, so much! What can I say, give Mark a completely endearing romantic interest and I'm sold. The only person whose story is bugging me is Betty herself, but thankfully the rest of it totally makes up for her and Henry being blah. Also, it is just me or is Rebecca Romijn totally carrying this season? Love it.

How is Daniel completely unable to realize what is going on with Mode? Is he more inept than ever? Shouldn't Betty be seeing right though Willie's plot for Meade Publication domination? Or is she keeping quiet because of their rooftop deal? How many episodes before all the truth is uncovered....November sweeps is right around the corner.

Hilda and her cemetery friends were sad/cute. While it's not the most uplifting crown to hang out with (you know, 5 PM bedtime and dentures), at least she can talk about Santos. Hot, hot Santos.

Amanda and Mark were in top form last night. "Hes a 9, I'm a 8" "He's a 10, you're a 6." "You're a bitch, I'm a 7." Also Amanda messing with Betty's online dating was pretty great. Here's to Cliff staying around for a while.

Ugh, so happy that Hilda was finally snapped into realizing what is going on with Justin. I miss fashion-y Justin, so hopefully he can find a way to honor the memory of his dad and memorize all the Spring lines.
Betty's list of things that she can't life without for her dating profile: "Doughnuts, my family..."

John Cho is also a contender for the best new addition to the cast. His one-liners never fail at making me laugh.
Alexis line of the night: "This Golden Boy's gotta go wash ink off his boobs."

Speaking of Alexis, yay for remembering. She and Willie are totally going to have it out sometime soon. And yay for us for getting ringside seats.
So, I give up. I'm never going to like Betty and Henry together. The ending literally had me yelling at my TV. When Betty was all, "Everyone's going to say its a big mistake." Yes, yes it is. Sure he understands her and thinks her quirkiness is adorable, but he just bugs me. Am I alone on that?

What did you think of the episode? Loving Mark and Cliff as much as I am (if that's possible)? Are you swooning over Betty and Henry and I'm just crazy? Is Mode going to keep going under? Man, I love this show.
